In this second edition, the work started at the 2018 congress has been deepened, disseminating knowledge of this musical genre through the presentation of recent research and experiences around the jota genre. On the other hand, through the round table format, it has opted for the exchange of ideas, joint reflection and debate on common topics such as the ways of transmission of this genre, the contexts of the jota or how the jota has been and is a source of resources for artistic creation and popular creation. The content of the book is made up of twelve articles and the Cantclusions of each thematic axis, sung by enversado
ras and glossadoras of improvised song from different places in the Catalan-speaking territories.

This book collects the texts of the presentations, round tables and communications that were presented in Falset at the Second Congress of the Jota in Catalan Speaking Territories between May 21 and 23, 2021. The organization of the congress was in charge of the General Directorate of Popular Culture and Cultural Associations of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat of Catalonia, the Falset City Council and the Ramon Muntaner Institute (IRMU) in person and virtually and had the collaboration of 'scholars, groups and popular culture associations from all the territories involved, but especially from La Clavellinera, a priory association dedicated to the research and revitalization of the jota.
