Like the title says, Una comunitat humana al llarg de la història: la Safor, it has the shared will to project light upon the local space. This book is also a homage to Vicent Olaso (1961-2019), whose contribution as a historian and archivist has been valuable. The result confirms the potentialities of a plural and shared view upon the same space. To the voice of the historian of medieval and modern society it adds the voices of the art historian, the archeologist and the archivist. Since a collective project has no precedent in the Safor, and there’s been few at Valencian Country and the Catalan Countries since they’ve been under the simulus of a congress or a scientific reunion. The local cases exposed here single out the human community in the Safor across it’s histor. At the same time it shows important notes about the landscape, the consumption, the civil architecture, the renaissnce paintings, women inside and outside the cloister, the oral document and the written document and the localization of the archives.
