Stirring consciences: Civic transgression and national event includes the papers of the meetings on civic transgression that took place in Fraga (Baix Cinca, la Franja de Ponent) in February 2008 and 2009. It was made by the co-authors that signed this book, which rounds off the work done with praise about the transgression: National identity and Statelessness (Identitat nacional i desraó d’estat, 2007) — the previous volume— where new forms of institutional discrimination are denounced. In this one, I address the transgression from different approaches: creative, legal, ethical, literary and emotional. We are always in time to rethink, to be linked in a healthy way, to build and move towards itineraries that bring us closer to the challenges we set. And, of course, the mania of a minority and vulnerable group is to return to be an everyday, down to Earth person. This explains the desire to live in our language in a fully sovereign Catalan Countries. It is not easy at all, but people have tools and skills that enable us to move from anguish to well-being, to turn pain into beauty. Another world will be possible as long as we rely on our own effort, and also if we discover pleasure in action and have enough ambition to overcome difficulties.
