The text that appear in this book are a chronological overview through the history of the contemporary Catalonia, that is, a journey through the history, the policy and the culture of the country. A review made from the most specific and rooted things in the territory (with a good dose of irony and sarcasm) to the most general. Thus, the texts of the philosopher Rodolf Llorens Jordana (Vilafranca del Penedès, 1910 - Caracas, 1985) are a reading and an interpretation done from the left-wing view and from the popular gaze. A reading and a reflection in which action and theory (the ideal and reality) find themselves and co-evolve to the front line. In fact, as he says at some point, his reflection starts with living and wanting to live (that is why he was a character fully involved with the political life of his time). And it is in this sense that he says that he wants us to read his works knowing that he is a "simple passer-by ih our history; not as a scholar, but as a reader”
