Pssst… Pass it. The Fight for Democracy in Catolonia (1939 – 1975) makes a review – in a synthetic but up-to-date manner – of the history of the democratic opposition during General Franco’s dictatorship, supported by original documents produced by all kinds of militants (anonymous or with public projection) anti-fascist organisations such as political parties, unions, unitary platforms and social movement. The partial or complete reproduction of the flying leaves of the democratic forces, by means of the transcription or the reproduction in image of the document in question, allows us to expand and contrast the historical account on the anti-fascist militants with their own documents. Some documents, as is the case of the flying leaves, because of their functionality (inform the population, through a paper that passes from hand to hand, the political position of the opposition to raise awareness about the dictatorial and repressive nature of Franco’s regime, and mobilise it to a achieve democratic freedoms) directly explain what they thought and what anti Franco’s regime organisation did.
